No Access to Online Courses Using Internet Explorer 8

June 04, 2013 | 0 Minute Read

As we've posted a couple of times on this blog, you can no longer acess online courses at JHSPH using Internet Explorer 8 as of today. If you try to sign in to an online course using Internet Explorer 8, you will not see a sign in page but instead will be told that you are using an unsupported Web browser.

Please note that running Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) in Internet Explorer 8 or 7 mode is not supported and you will not be able to sign into online courses. Some companies configure IE9 to run in this mode in order to ensure compatabililty with older, internal applications. Running IE9 in this mode is the same as running IE8 or IE7, and is not supported for online courses at JHSPH.

You can still access CoursePlus using IE8, however that has not been an officially supported Web browser for CoursePlus since June, 2012. You will no longer be able to sign into CoursePlus using IE8 in January, 2014.
