Looking for Student Feedback on the BBS

July 26, 2010 | 1 Minute Read

The Center is in the beginning stages of redesigning the BBS (threaded discussion system) used in all online courses and CoursePlus. We've received quite a bit of feedback about the BBS over the years, and we really want to make something that works the way students, TAs, and faculty need and expect it to work.

We're looking for students who want to help us improve the BBS and make it an even more useful tool. We're looking for students who have taken at least one course other than Introduction to Online Learning where the BBS has been used. This could be in a fully online course or an on-campus course which used the BBS as part of the CoursePlus site for the course.

You'll be asked for advice and feedback as we develop the new version of the BBS. We want to hear from you throughout the development process. This would entail a couple of email or Web-based correspondences over the next few months. We might even run a LiveTalk session or two to show off the ideas that we have and solicit feedback from you in real time. It's not a big time commitment, but we really do want to hear detailed feedback from everyone who participates.

If you're interested in participating in this feedback process, please email bklaas at jhsph.edu.
