Strike Out Answers When Taking Quizzes and Exams
Students at BSPH often have experience taking high-stakes exams as part of other academic admissions processes or as part of completing required certifications.
Some of these high-stakes exam systems allow students to strike out answers to multiple choice questions to make it easier for students to focus on potentially correct answers. As a result of this experience, students have asked for the ability to strike out answers to multiple choice questions in quizzes and exams in CoursePlus.
Students now have this option when taking quizzes and exams. A link to “Strike out” or “Undo strikeout” is displayed next to each multiple choice option:
If you are taking a quiz or exam that allows multiple access to the quiz or exam, the answers that are stricken are carried over during each visit to the quiz or exam page. You don’t lose this work, even if you leave and return to the quiz or exam page multiple times.
We hope that this change makes taking quizzes and exams a slightly less stressful experience. As always, if you have questions about this change, please reach out to the CTL Help team, and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
