A Number of Small Updates to the Quiz Generator

September 27, 2024 | 1 Minute Read

The CoursePlus team is always looking to improve CoursePlus, which is used by thousands of people every day. We receive a lot of feedback from faculty, students, and staff. Most of the changes and new features you see in CoursePlus are a direct result of that feedback.

The Quiz Generator in CoursePlus is a powerful tool with a lot of configuration options. Even so, faculty, students, and staff want it to do more, or sometimes just do things differently. The CoursePlus team just rolled out a number of small functional changes to the Quiz Generator that were direct requests from BSPH faculty and staff. These are:

  • When you review individual student responses to a quiz, “Previous Student” and “Next Student” buttons now display at the bottom of the page. This allows you to move from student to student more quickly, instead of grading one student, going back to the main “Responses and Grades” view, and then selecting the next student in the class.
  • The text box size for answers to multiple choice questions has been increased to better display multi-line answers.
  • Editing quiz instructions and the text to display after students complete a quiz is now done inline, instead of in a popup overlay.
  • When editing the display order of questions in a quiz, the current/original question number is now displayed in the bar containing the question. This allows you easily reorder questions when you want to, for example, move the current question 3 after the current question 12.

As always, if you have questions about these changes, or feedback on the look and feel of this new design system, please reach out to the CTL Help team, and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
