New Connect Add-In for LiveTalks

January 22, 2010 | 1 Minute Read

On January 12, the server that powers LiveTalks was updated. This new version of the Adobe Acrobat Connect Server (the software which powers LiveTalks) has performance and addresses a number of audio and archive playback issues.

This new version of the Connect server also requires that you update your Connect add-in. If you have downloaded the Connect add-in before, the first time you access a LiveTalk in an online course, you will be prompted to install the latest version of the add-in. If you never downloaded the Connect add-in before, you will be prompted to install the latest version of the add-in.

Installing the Connect add-in is a brief, seamless process that should take less than a minute on a typical Internet connection. Once you install the add-in, you will be removed briefly from the LiveTalk as the Connect add-in launches and brings you back in to the LiveTalk session.

If you opt not to install the Connect add-in for any reason, you will continue to get prompts to install the Connect add-in each and every time you enter a LiveTalk session. There is no way to turn these prompts off. To avoid this continued prompting, install the Connect add-in when prompted.
