A Video Discussion About Moving High-Stakes Exams Online
Moving courses that have been taught face-to-face for decades into an online environment is a challenging task. Moving a course with over 500 students and high-stakes exams from a face-to-face environment into a robust, meaningful online experience is an even bigger challenge.
In this video, Karen Bandeen-Roche and Marie Diener-West discuss some of the challenges (and positive outcomes!) they faced in moving the exams for 140.621.01 – Statistical Methods in Public Health I – and 140.622.01 – Statistical Methods in Public Health II – into an online format. They are interviewed by Liz Stuart, Associate Dean for Education, and Laura Morlock, Executive Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, about their experience.
