September 16, 2020 | 1 Minute Read

John McGready — Senior Scientist and Teaching Peer Mentor in the department of Biostatistics — has been recording tasks as he performed them while setting up his own CoursePlus sites for the current academic term. He was kind to share them with us for a new version of the CoursePlus 101 video series.

Quiz Generator (QG) Question Types, and Embedding Picture in QG Text

In this video, John discusses and demonstrates adding different type of questions to a Quiz Generator object including multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, numeric value with optional range, and essay. He discusses some differences in the text interfaces for the fill-in-the-blank option versus the other types. John also shows how to upload picture objects (graphics, portions of a journal article, etc.) to be included in the text of a question, and discusses some issues to be aware of when you have multiple questions, and different picture objects being included in the text of different question groups.
