CoursePlus Problems on Friday, October 26

October 26, 2012 | 0 Minute Read

Just in time for the very last day of the first academic term and all the work that happens on the last day of an academic term, there were problems with the CoursePlus website on Friday, October 26 between 4:18pm and 4:47pm. While accessing the site, students, editors, and faculty would get random "Unexpected Error" messages. This was caused by connectivity problems to the database cluster which stores the data in CoursePlus. Database connections were being held for too long, which caused slowdowns and queuing of all connections on CoursePlus.

We've resolved the issue and will continue to monitor the site for additional problems. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you.
